Do any of you mates have a work area which swallows small parts? This morning I was preparing to attach the two canards for my naval Flanker when one of them decided to go AWOL - while I was cutting the attachment pin to length the canard "flew off"..........somewhere!! I searched for an hour, all the usual nooks, crannies and blind corners but all to no avail ?.

In one of my my spare parts containers I found a tailplane off the trashed Mig-25 (too many relocations) which was plenty large enough to fabricate a new canard. The pics tell the story, used the other canard as the template and now the Flanker is whole again.

Phew! Moral of the story, always ensure small parts can't escape while you are working them ?
