01 - What's in the box - Panther Ausf.G
just for start, the box! Italeri say is re-releasing it big German Panther, with updates. According to the website the moulds are fully upgraded and the kit contains a fret of photo-etched, link-by-link track, and metal tow cable.
this is the box inside
the parts labeled by Dragon
The Spue A - The lower hull / wheels sprue is the same old Italeri one (complete with "thin" rubber tyres) that is in all their older Panther variants.
The Sprue B - The upper hull sprue is totally new in Italeri, but old in Dragon with Panther F (kit #9008) from 1994 slightly revised in the side of the Radio-operator periscope
The Sprue C - the turret sprue is only slightly revised from the old Panther A kit (the ventilator is now separate). I'd be interested to know if they revised the muzzle brake to have some detail.
The Sprue CC (5x) - the track link sprues are new in Italeri kits, but old in Dragon with Panther F (kit #9008) from 1994
The Sprue D (2x) another sprue who comes from the Panther F (kit #9008) but with the steel wheels cut out
Photoetched parts - The PE fret is totally new and made for this kit who represents the panthers of Sesto Imolese
Steel Cables (2x)
Decals - 26 Pz. Div. Italy, April 1945. The 3 tanks of this set of decals were destroyed near Sesto Imolese on 15/16 April 1945

Hi Matthew, I have found it to be a good kit, I've always loved Italeri kits since I was a little boy! I think they are good for scratching, texturing and having fun while building! people today say that they are terrible kits because brands like Dragon, Takom, Meng, RFM, etc ... come from a new generation of models, with new technologies, a lot of money to invest in these technologies, new accesses that did not exist thirty years ago, etc! but I consider them good, maybe I'm nostalgic, but I like it!

Album info
a small review of the sprues and items that come in the box, just to show and give some brief and small impressions about the kit!
