Jaster's Legacy

Album image #1
The ship is big, so I had to slice most of the main parts to fit my small printer - here the main parts of the hull are joined back together - Starboard side

Album image #2
Port side - some cleaning of the joins will be needed

Album image #3
Back of the main hull, where the rear gunner's section joins - I have added detail to the wall from bits from the spares box and failed prints.

Album image #4
Rear wall painted

Album image #5
The rear gunner section came with poorly detailed seats

Album image #6
Moulded in seats removed

Album image #7
New printed seats ready to install. Joining face painted with Texta before sanding flat

Album image #8
Details added in the gunner's cockpit

Album image #9
Gunner's cockpit painted - decided to go with just a single seat

Album image #10
Cockpit section printed. I removed the original seats as, while they were tall enough, they weren't wide enough for the figure. They were replaced with rescaled printed chairs, which fit the figure (an AMT Boba Fett) nicely

Album image #11
Front section - no glass in the cockpit windows

Album image #12
I made some inserts for the various windows from Aves Putty and sanded them to shape, and used them as bucks for vac-forming window glass. Here the top and rear panels

Album image #13
Main window bucks and vac-formed glazing

Album image #14
Cockpit and pilot figure painted

Album image #15
Side panels and cockpit walls painted.

Album image #16
Cockpit all joined together, just waiting on the glazing

Album info

The Jaster's Legacy is an Amphibious Interstellar Assault Transport/Infantry Gunship (AIAT/I) flown by Jango Fett in the prequel era, before he flew the Slave I. I appeared in the Bounty Hunter video game. This is a 3D printed kit, made from files by Zarkus Model, which are free files on Thingiverse. The original files are in 1/144 scale but I scaled them up to 1/72 - rather than print at 200%, I printed at 181.2%, at which point the cockpit seats nicely fit a 1/72 scale Boba Fett figure I was going to use.
