This aircraft was flown by Oberleutnant Wolfgang Ernst who was in 9./JG 77, Chilivani, Sardinia, Italy of Summer 1943. He was a very lucky man that he survived the war even though he was shot down 15 times. He himself was an Ace with 36 confirmed kills, he passed away in January 1993 at the age of 71.
