Turboprop Trainer Hürkuş (given after the name of Turkish WW1 pilot and designer Vecihi Hürkuş) was developed between 2006-2016 at Turkish Aerospace Industries by a team lead by a female chief engineer, something extremely rare at aerospace industry. I was so proud to be the head of the project at that time. 2 prototypes were developed TC-VCH and TC-VCI. After a three years long flight test program, a joint team of Turkish Civil Aviation General Directorate and EASA issued a type certificate per CS23 in 2016. I had a chance to fly TC-VCI rear seat on Aug 8th 2015. This model depicts the configuration I flew that day. Serial No: 2, Engine: PT6A-68T (1600 shp)
