Great build! Thanks to all of you who served; is it true you guys had air conditioners and stripper poles inside or is that just an urban legend cooked up by the less fortunate ground pounders like me and Roy?

Thanks for the comments guys.

AI - that must have been an urban legend - i've never seen a pole or dancers inside. Grin

Bob - MRE heaters? Who had time for that or ate near their vehicle? Not me, sadly.

While i was in college I joined a National Guard Ranger LRRP unit (G/143). The 49th Armored would use "our" Drop Zones for maneuver training. My PLFs were bad enough without tank ruts but that's another story.
After a long road march from the DZ we were passed by an M113 towing a heavy duty two axle BBQ Grill! It even had 49th AD placards and bumper numbers, it was custom built and definitely not on the MTOE! I truly admire a unit that knows how to train hard, fight hard and play hard like that!

Now that is inspiration for a cool vignette. The ARNG on maneuvers!
