Fire in the hole! Two German soldiers are ready to toss in hand grenades as they work their way through urban ruins.
Interesting thing about these figures is that box art calls for Pea Dot pattern uniform, yet figures themselves have Heer, not W-SS collar insignia. So I opted for Feldgrau uniforms instead, it's same cut anyway. As figure with a helmet has a helmet cover I painted it splittermuster rather than switch heads.
Fits were pretty good, requiring only minimal work. The bad side is that a lot of equipment has already been moulded on, such as bread bag, gas mask canister…. I prefer these to be separate as it makes painting easier and better.
Base is pretty basic urban ruin type of setting. Nothing fancy, some rubble scatter, bricks, fine sand, followed by grey wash and liberal application of various pigments. And some generic beams with rust.
It’s simple but I like how it turned out overall.
