Just a quick weekend OOB build of the Airfix Fw 190A-8 with some spare Eduard decals for Dahl's 190. It's a great example of the old adage "you get what you pay for". The Airfix kit has some nice detail but the fit is never quite right (though not terrible either). Similarly the detail, though nice, is quite basic as the kit is missing the two aerials and the MGs are poor. The Pitot tube also snapped off about 4-5 times throughout the build. If I was to build this kit again I'd definitely replace them with some brass or resin items (but then you'd be pushing the price towards the Weekend Edition Eduard kit and I'd much rather build that).

All that being said the kit only cost me £5, so for the sake of a bit of build hassle and some scratch-building for the aerials you could have an entire Fw 190 Jagdgeschwader for the cost of only a couple of the Eduard Fw 190s.
