Album info

Rather old Revell model.
Parts have fabric texture moulded so it gives a bit of authenticity in the end.
Whole cockpit including seat, instrument panel, floor, control stick were scratchbuilt as they didn't exist at all!
Cockpit interior was painted over "lozenge" pattern decals provided in kit.
Painting was a bit challenging as I chose all-white livery of an airplane flown by Hermann Goring. Preshading was done with grey Mr. Surfacer and RLM66 in order to accentuate ribs on wings under white fabric.
Propeller was painted to Sail color as base, then few thin layers of Vallejo Smoke for wood texture, followed by artistic oil Burnt Umbra for laminated parts, and few thin layers of Tamiya Clear Orange in the end to emphasize wood color
Rigging was done with fishing nylon 0,073mm
Weathering is finished with artistic oils, and it is very subtle as this aircraft on all photos appear to be perfectly clean
One of the simple kits I enjoyed to build, and nice addition to my WW1 collection.
