Italeri Triumph 3HW 1/9 scale. Italy, Summer of 1944. Well, as I always say, if there are booth pics I must be done. And I'm done.
It's weird to say that something as innocuous as a model can "take it out of you", but this one has really taken it out of me. I don't think I've ever walked away from a model as much as I have from this one. It often felt like one step up, two steps back. I'd get something sorted and another part would break simply through handling during the modelling process. Having to paint and weather as you go felt like a trial. It was a work of purgatory at times. Maybe my head just wasn't in the right place for this one.
There are a lot of mistakes. There is still a rider and a load to go on it (so the rear rack with it's shoddy joins will be hidden), but I'm gonna have to come back to them at a later date. I need a break from this scale for now. I hope you guys have enjoyed this one more than I have.
I'm gonna go away and think about anything but motorbikes for a while.
