My build of the Tamiya SPG M40 kit

Building the new Tamiya 1/35 scale Self-Propelled Gun M40. I used the Tamiya metal barrel upgrade set and Archer Dry Transfers for the simple markings. I won a gold medal and Best Armor Award at the MMCL 2017 show.

I used Vallejo for the basic hull colors, Humbrol Polished Metal and Alclad steel for the tracks, and Mig pigments and AK weathering products for the dirt and grime. All of the excellent kit figures were added to the final build.

I was asked by IPMS USA to provide an article and photos from the project build for an upcoming journal issue!
