To be made as a Spitfire V with the spare decals from the old Pioneer/PM boxing, and spare Italeri Vokes filter to make Black 5512. I believe that this aircraft was allocated to the 5th Fighter Regiment (alongside its component of Fw-190s) hence the black spinner (although some sources give it as red). From the one photograph I have been able to find, I believe that this aircraft is fitted with a Dehavilland propeller (although some sources suggest Rotol.) I took this propeller and spinner from the Italeri boxing and made a new backplate for it. This aircraft was part of 30+ transferred from RAF Middle East stocks in July 1944. I have not been able to identify the original RAF serial.
