Pete Chapouris' California Kid

The 1934 Ford coupe as it appeared in the 1974 TV movie starring a young Martin Sheen and Nick Nolte. The actual car was altered for the film including steel wheels, side pipes and a push bumper for stunts. he car was built by hot rod legend Pete Chapouris in around 1972-1973. This was built from a snap kit from Revell so it was more detailing that constructing with the exception of bumpers and taillights which I made. The wheels are from my parts box as are the side pipes. This was a sudden build as I came across the model kit in new condition on Marketplace for $20. Thanks to Revell, it already had the flames and paint so I just added some homemade decals. Note: the license plates are true to the movie car and not the car today.
