A fun build of an iconic TV car. My kit is a homage to Lee #6, a car from the 1st series of The Dukes of Hazzard when it was still filmed in Georgia. Lee #6 was never actually used and is currently in the Vomo Car Museum. The MPC kit is a very challenging build due to many fit issues, especially the bumpers. I made a custom blend of 3 Humbrol enamels to get close to the blue of the actual car's engine. I had to move the distributor to the back, added radiator hoses and plug wires (a bit large for this scale). The CB radio and aerial are scratch built. The radio is a chunk of Milliputt with a laser printed front, a bit of coiled copper wire and a tiny bit of styrene for the handset. Aerial is Milliput and sprue with a stretched sprue for the actual aerial part. The roll cage is as oer Lee#6 and made from sprue. The MPC kit is supposed to contain the correct wheels, but doesn't. I used some 3D pinted resin wheels. Paint is SMS V-Line orange with SMS tan for the seats and tan flocking for the carpet. Window frames painted with Tamiya silver and some Sharpie silver. Decals are a mix of the original and aftermarket. "01" from MPC kit (very nice). Roof flag and "General Lee" are aftermarket, printed on clear backing so I painted a white rectangle on the roof first. "General Lee" should have white border. Crossed flags behind rear window and number plates are stickers from Alex Cycles (I ordered stickers by mistake, but they were better than the waterslide ones from the roof flag set.
