Second model. Very satisfied with the outcome and personal progress.
Improvements & lessons learned:
- using an airbrush makes the end product way better than using brush. However, with the revel airbrush starter kit, fine painting is not really possible.
- taking my time to improve imperfections pays off.
- airbrushing the entire product with varnish instead of using a brush makes the end product better.
- better quality brushes to allow for finer movements and details was an improvement
- need to work on my masking, as (especially around the cockpit window) lines are not perfectly sharp
- applying decals before adding props was way easier. However, I should have added the doors & panels after decaling.
- painting the outer parts before gluing them together is possible, but leaves a seam. Better to paint after glueing together.
