I drove my mates Boxster...
It was so so, ok... actually it was surprizingly good🤔

Steeeve... you prefer Ferrari??? What a unexpected outcoming😉 I think you can't compare the bella italia with the tscherman😉 Driving a Testrossa was a great experience, only frightening on the Autobahn at 160mp/h and you have to break hard because of full-throttle overtaking Golf GTi. The crescendo of the 12cylinder is so much better than the booming beetle flat 6. A german car is something for those who don't want to be caught off guard. Like you I love the Ferrari, but the 911 has definitly earned it's place in car history. By the way... A boxter is NOT a proper Porsche imho😉

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Nice Kit! Like the "Fuchs Felgen" most. 🙂

Ha! ha! ha!...
Nice one Christian. But I always sing:
Oh! Lord won't you buy me a Scuderia Ferrari?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord won't you buy me a Scuderia Ferrari?
And that's true, my wife is testament to it... I'm always singing it in the shower.😄
But honestly I don't mind Porsches at all, I only tease as it's become expected of me over the years. I have also built quite a few of them...
@Stefan...
Why don't you consider a Boxster a proper Porsche?

@ Steve: It wasn`t me. You should have asked Janis Joplin. She`s watching us from heaven since 1970... "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to loose....... Me and my Bobby Mcgee" 🙂

@ Alex: WOW what is that?? A flatnose 959 Carrera GT? NICE 🙂 send me walkaround pics and it would be a pleasure to build it 🙂 @ Christian: YES I thought about to mention a AMG black series, goosepimples 🙂 @ Steve: LOL... now I have that song in my mind and try to get the Scuderia Ferrari part right... regarding the Boxer... they saw how successful the MX-5 was and thought: hmmm let's make another midengine car, with flat 6 (Boxer-)engine, than it's a roadster so let's call it Boxster. A nice little Porsche for... hmm... woman to go shopping😉 And this one would be a follow up for the great 550 Spyder? No way...but.... to make it right they came up with the Carrera GT, which is the best Boxster😉 (want one...)

She's a 911E from 1972 originally. but she was heavily modified and rebuild in the 80s by Josef zirkelbach (DP Motorsport) with a carbon fiber body and a engin swap to a 3.2L from 84. unfortunately i don't have many pictures of her since the hard drive with all the renovation and build pictures is kind of dead 🙁 me and a mate bought it in boxes in 2010 and restored it in the weekends. we actually don't know much about it more than it was a one of custom for a rich american who never got the car for some reason and it therefore stayed in sweden. but according to the DP registry this car doesn't exist and neither does the body kit so this is the only one it seems. unfortunately we had to sell it in 2012 when i needed money to pay my mother's hospital bills, otherwise i would have never sold it. heres a video after one of the first test drives 🙂

Wow Alex, that sounds pretty cool. Sadly though regarding the circumstances you had to sell the car. I always found the DP creations quite unusual. Unfortunately I can't see the vid, anyway, I think this would be a nice challenge for a new project 🙂

Well we all have to do things we don't want to do sometimes i guess. but there will come new cars i hope. i always wanted a Alfa 1300 GTA or something old charming and Italian so i think that will be my next project when i have the time and money. you should be able to see the video now 🙂
