Paul Wilsford that tub looks perfect to me Albi. How do you like this kit so far?
1. January 2014 at 15:50:40
Michel Huijghe Aha an Il-2. Now you're coming in my direction. :)

Albi Hitz Thank you Mates!
@Paul: Its a typical new generation Tamiya kit. Its awesome! Easy to build, perfect fit, good details so far. But like the other kits (1/32 Corsair, Spitfire or Mustang) oft Tamiya the price is a bit to high (IMHO), in the end its worth every penny. If you like good stuff ... go for it!!!
@Michel: ,,, something different to start in a new year ;)

Michel Huijghe @Albi
Did you sue the AH Interactive Chipping Fluid?
1. January 2014 at 19:54:55
Albi Hitz Hi Michel

I've worked with AK interactive Chipping Fluid on Japanese Airplanes (outside). It worked well.

In this case I used XF-23 Light Blue as basic color and with a small sponge and Vallejo Acrylics German Grey I put on the chipping ... take care ... let the dark color dry a little bit and then put on the chipping. after all Abteilung 502 Oil paint ...

George Bacon Wow, how can you close-up those interiors in a plane? Just fantastic!

Albi Hitz Thanks George for your compliment ... I hope the rest will be analogous ... ;)

George Bacon Wow! I hope you show your models in contests. You deserve some trophies!
23. January 2014 at 20:47:00
Martyn Fox Superb job Albi. Really like the paint job with the subtle tones of the colours and the weathering is spot on.
23. January 2014 at 20:51:35
Christian Lehmann Wow, how could I miss this? Very nice weathered cockpit and discent weathering on the fuselage. Very well done

Albi Hitz @George:I'm really pleased. Thank you! To be honest I'm not the contest guy. My one and only contest was "Swiss Championship" sponsored by Matchbox and this is for ages .... can't remember.
The other thing is, Switzerland is such a small country, there are not that many opportunities ... but on the other hand ... why not ... good idea ...

@Martyn and @ Christian :Thank you both for the motivating words.
I try to keep it "real", but I don't work with photo submittals of a specific plane or a tank.
I look at many pictures as possible and try to find the golden mean. ;)
Its sometimes a thin line between too little and too much ...

My stand is: Would I board a plane or a tank, that looks like this?!

Michel Huijghe I like it.
