I'm not sure about the varnish. I'm not a figure painter. I'll ask it at my modeling club.

Great job on the Building ,Mate.
I varnish my figures with the army painter matt varnish.Thats really a very good matt finish.
I also heard that you put a semigloss varnish only from above on the figures face so that it only reach the Profile (Nose, cheeks, forehead).I never tried this.
But i think fabric has to be matt.

Thanx Markus.
Got to try the army painter varnish then... Thnx for the tip.
I'm still thinking what to do with the other side of the walls. On
The first floor gonna put some paper to the wall but downstairs i have got no idea...

How about some destroyed furniture (chairs ,table).Easy to make from balsa wood yourself.

yeah, but there is a small corner piece of wall that comes inside of this one downstairs, so itt's more of a hallway between the two piecs... gonna try to make some iron gates like u can see on the front of the box..

there's a product that I find works great on those bricks, Kevin. A pigment from Mig (Brick Dust Pigment #P029 )[img1]

Yes, thanks... The one one the right was my first finnished idea but think for the WW2 period that the twisted ones are more realistic... But this one was not finished... It was a test to see if i could bend the bars or not...

thnx Jose,
@Markus, took a bit of your advice 😄 made me a simple table for the first floor, and put already a base for a bit of rubble... needs to be finished with som pieces from the wall..
@ James, the brick dust pigment works really great 😄 thnx for the tip

Glad you like the brick pigment Kevin.
I?m really thinking of going through all of my old 1/35 scale kits and taking all of the unused pieces off of the sprues, painting them and tossing them in a big pile in one of the rooms of my diorama. Or something like that. It?s filling in all of the empty space that causes me the most concern.
I read something somewhere that sort of made sense to me: make the models and figures fit the surroundings; not the other way around. I believe this to be true.
With this, it is paramount that I get the rubble and clutter correct, IMHO??.
Keep on posting, I need help!!

Just saw the table pic.; looks real good! What did you make the wallpaper out of?
As soon as I finish this MK IV I'm building I'll get back to my diorama for a week or so.
My next phase is mounting the buildings to the base.
I'll probably be using this product as a base for the street>>shop.hobbylobby.com/..iorama-spray-726372/

Thanks 😄 well, the wallpaper is just normal printing paper.. i've made tge paper in Paint on my laptop, and stick it to the wall with some thinned woodglue
