M-46 Patton
The start of a new project!
Added drain plugs with recessed bolt holes by using small disks made from plastic rod, filing them to height, and drilling holes. The disks on the left are not filed or drilled yet.
Lots of parts for the suspension. This is just part of one side!
Complted the suspension system. Saving the wheels and tracks for the end, like I always do.
Decided to try to make the hatch periscope guards out of wire, rather than using the kit part.
Added rear light wiring and the panel lines on the upper rear deck.
Used brass rod for tool box handles. Much better than the plastic part.
Scratch-built headlight and horn guards from brass sheet. Added smoke dischargers under headlights.
Brass rod for fender braces.
Almost Ready to paint!
Made front fender braces and turnbuckles from plastic sheet and rod.
Painting has started. Looks more like a taxi than a tank!
The gun mantle cover is made from a plastic grocery bag.
The Tiger got his stripes!
Fini!
