That turned out very good.
I have this kit in my stash, but I don't have the guts to start it.

Emil, it's not too bad. If you take your time and work through the instructions a few decals at a time, using a decal softener (I used Micro Sol), it's not too difficult. The main thing is to take your time and not to do too many in one go.

Aha, you mean patience! Not one of my strong points...
I have also the AXIA version of this kit. That one is also a challenge.

I know that feeling. I have to keep suppressing the urge to speed ahead. It keeps getting me into trouble.

I've just checked the AXIA version out! That looks even worse than this one. I can see why you haven't started yet. It will look good when it's finished mind!?!?

Nice work - I've started mine and the decals are a PITA. At least yours didn't micro-crack.

I used Micro Sol which seems to do the trick (softens decals to conform to irregular surfaces for a 'painted on' look (as it says on the bottle!!)). Have used it on all my models and I have to say I've been really pleased with the results.

I recently brought some Tamiya Mark Fit which apparently does a similar job but haven't tried it out yet.

I used mark fit on mine but the decals are so old that they do that apparently.
