Dunno how I'm going to finish this yet...Brit or US Army. I'd prefer to go Canuck, but it seems they didn't militarize it. I could just do it in my favorite colors and have it as a 'private' rig. I also have the Hobbycraft kit with the clear fuselage.

Hmm...I got rolling and forget to photo the cockpit setup. Six seats of two pairs of slightly differing sets, a floor level handle, a dual grip stick and molded instruments a huge distance away from the pilot/copilot seats. *yawn* I must admit that the pieces are fitting quite well and even the tiny aeliron (hinge elbows/weight arms) on the underside of the wings, along the leading edge of the aelirons, went on reasonbly well (with a good tiny tweezer).

Oh...also a fairly decent pilot figure.

I should have known. I had early selected the floatplane version to do and, one arrived at that part of the assembly I was faced, once again, with STRUTS. I'd put the wing struts into place as though I would have no problems attaching the floats. However, Airfix seems to think everybody will be doing the wheeled version because they did not provide attachments for the float struts....

Drilling and fitting has been a minor nightmare. The model currently sits with a pad of notepaper to weight it down sufficiently to keep the rear struts in place while the glue sets on the rear struts of the floats.

Crap decals, Airfix. *sigh* I went with the US Army set. I have spent way too much time fussing over disintegrating insignia. I have to split the underside 'US Army' decal because they early had me place protuberances where the decal is supposed to go. When on, the decals look a mite silvered, which I'm hoping will be minimized by Future and Dulcote.

Well...through to the end, it turned out...sorta okay. Only a little silvering that survived through the Future and then the Dulcote. Still...crap decals.
