Beware, this is NOT the new Revell Halifax, this is the Matchbox mould. The new Revell kit of the Halifax is Handley Page Halifax B Mk.I/II - GRII (Revell 04670, 1:72)

Well, it's not like I would have known the difference. But then, I didn't even know that there was a new Revell kit.

Okay...I've got 'whites'. A couple of them. But have I got the 'right white'? Well, anywhere near the 'right white'? I dithered with this on the D0-24, too, and finally decided on a 'light gray', which looks great. But, then, when I got the Dutch decals, I found that they used a 'milk white', with a tint of yellow to give it that 'butterfat cast'.

I'm leaning towards non-spec white, but I have to admit that I haven't even checked the MM line of military colors to see if they've 'lined it out', as it were.

Okay...Now I'm disgruntled. I'm dealing with the undercarriage, since it is my intent to assemble as 'wheels down'. The back bracing for the wheels down position, presumably the hydraulic equipment to push the wheels down and into place, are quite thin and very fragile pieces. And they placed the sprue attachments for these pieces ON the tiny insert tabs. AND they molded them in two separate pieces which need to be glued together. I've broken, and reglued while still on the sprue, one of these fragile pieces. The tabs do not fit nicely into the well-defined holes on the gear holding the rotating tyres, thanks to the excess plastic of the sprue attachments. Trimming that excess off promises more broken pieces. I'm a bit flummoxed as to how I'm expected to assemble this....

Got it. With a bit of gaposis and unnatural curvature of 'steel bar'.
