I have not decided yet. But as i have a lot of posibilties to build a Lauda car This one will be a Regazzoni car i think.

You seem to like Regazzoni more than Lauda? Are you willing to share this info with me? Any special reason? I must say in the past i liked Lauda, especially after his accident at the Nurburgbring. I had great admiration for the guy to step in a F1 car again. But names as Regazzoni or Reutemann or Pironi or Tambay will surely shine on my models.

Yes I do have a soft spot for Regga...
But I like Niki no more or no less, after all he was the Champion. Also as you say, his accident was particularly vicious and back in the cockpit after only missing about 2 or 3 races.
I met Clay several times in my career as a Coach Driver, we got on well and he always remembered me, by name as well as face... That impressed me, so I tended to swing more in his favour

Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the death of one, if not the fastest drivers to sit in a racing car, Jochen Rindt. I saw him for the first time 2 weeks before in the paddock at Oulton Park. At that Gold Cup meeting were the current world champion Jackie Stewart,former world champions , Graham Hill and John Surtees and the current leader of the world championship Jochen Rindt. Tell that to the kids theses days and they won't believe you. This weekend marks Clay Reggazoni's first Grand Prix win at Monza. When he came steaming out if the parabolica on lap 54 having broken the tow there was an almighty cheer that followed him around the circuit. Sitting in the main stand on the start line I could tell when he was coming down the back straight to the parabolica just by the cheering.

Steve, ok, it's clear to me now. Must have been great to meet these guys. I only met some dutch drivers. For me that was also great. So i can imagine.
John, also a great story. Those were the names. For some reason i tend more to the racing guys of these years. The 60's and 70's are somewhat moagic to me. I do not know why. I own a pretty bunch of old F1 movies, and it's always great to have a look at drivers racing off the circuit, going through the cornfield, back on track, and start over again. It always makes me smile.

John is right, I loved Motor Racing during the 50's 60's and 70's. As a toddler in the 50's my dad's friend raced Jaguar XK120's 40's & 50's, I went to race meetings with him, in 1955 he took me to the Monaco GP and my love affair with Ferrari & F1 started... During the following thirty years I went to as many races as possible. The pit lane then was great, especially for me, I met so many drivers during that time, I would get as close to the Ferrari garage as possible with camera ready. I'd stay there until they closed the pit lane, talking to the Mechanics, as well as anybody who fancied a chat. Yes John! tell that to Kids today, they just think your bragging...
The Pit Lane these day's... GBP £2000.00 or more to get in, if your lucky.
