This project is for the very first I-modeler website group build. I chose to go with Hasegawa's P47D Gabreski's, but I will use the kit to represent Capt Donovan Smiths P-47 "Old Cock III". This to commemorate the D-Day operation. My technique of prepainting most of the components while still on the sprues. Then Interior Green, Neutral Grey and natural metal components prior to start assembling. I will be using Kit Worlds sheet for the decals. First time I will be using this decal set from this Vendor. I also will use Eduards zoom set for the cockpit. Now reviews have mentioned that the shape of the fuselage is off on the Hase kit, in that it is to shallow? I have the Monogram kit to compare, but I really don't see it. So it doesn't really matter too me if this is the case. It will be a fun build. The most difficult time is applying and installing the PE bits within the cockpit. Time consuming but fulfilling when the process is finished. Once we get passed this then the kit pretty much assembles quickly once the cockpit is installed and the fuselage halves assembled. More to follow
