Well done in finishing your F8, I have given up on my eduard 1/48 A-5...for the time being at least.

I'm happy to hear that!
@Aghis, this one got dusty for about 5 months or so. I cannot really remember. But with some patience, coffee and some swear words a good replic of the Fw appeared 😉
BTW: If you have, take another blown canopy, from Dragon, Tamiya or so, 'cause the eduard canopy is way too flat!

Thanks mates!

Hi Oliver, being in the U.S. we don't have the restrictions in regard to the Swastika insignia on the tail. I'm assuming this is why you have a circle within that marking??? And wonderful build by he way, don't see this scheme very often.

Indeed this is a rare scheme. It seems that this plane has been repaired by using the the tails section of another plane.

Schlachtgruppen had unique camos, not all of them pretty, but make very interesting modelling subjects. I am going to work on one soon (he says 🙂 )

Hi Chuck - Yep, here in Germany you have to censore the Swastika. Although there are some people who say, it's okay to use it is it safer to censore it. I couldn't find the original photos, so I used this one.
The scheme is somehow common for the very late Luftwaffe Fighters. Other planes were repaired with other wings, elevators, rudders or - like this one - with another tail section. I liked the contrast of the just RLM 83 (I guess - can't remember) and the former standard 74/75 which is typicall for fighter planes of the A's versions.
@Christian - I don't know the Trimaster ones - how are they better? I think the eduard is a beauty (despite of the canopy and the to small tire. The engine is not "good enough" for building oob when the cowling is open)

I'm happy you like it like I do 😄

Of course it is a beauty and can clearly be identified as a Fw 190. There are no problems with the fit at the Trimaster kits => no additional work caused by bad fits - thats all
