This fright waggon will be part of an other project which is still in preperation. Problematic is that VP did not give the designation of a certain model. After some rerseach I asume that it shows a fright waggon model called Omm Linz ( welded pattern). The second problem is that no decals in 1/48 are available. I Bought one cyber hobby kit in 1/35 and hope to find a method to use some decals of this kit as template and after scaling them dow, ( but I have no idea yet how to don this ( the decals are white). Maybe somebody of the comunity has an idea. How to handle this.

Scaling down the size of the decals using a computer is not a problem. Printing them out as white ink decals on a clear film background IS a problem. Historically only the very old (can't get them anymore) ALPS printers ever printed out using white ink.
You may have to scale down the decals and then find a way to make a negative image mask to spray the white paint decaling image onto the model
IF possible you might be able to use thin copper foil from a craft shop and a photo etch kit from an electronics supplies store to create your own mask. I've done it and it is a lot of work and my sprayed on "decals" still had fuzzy edges.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Lemmy, maybe you can use white decal paper? Or contact the decal specialist mr Mike Grant, I know he's on this forum as wel and maybe he can advise you on how to deal with this?

Besides the production of white stencils it is also difficult to get info qabout the correct markings. I also contacted a collegue at the company i work for who is a railway enthusiast.
@ MT Hopper: Painting masks made by PE is something I also considered but I have not the knowledge to do this. An alternative would be to produce tzhe masks by lasercutting but I do not know somebody who ows such a machine.
@Wilfried: Do you know mike?

Hi Lemmy, no I don't know Mike in person. A couple of months ago I bought some of his decals, they are perfect and I got a very friendly service. I'm also a big fan of his "Circuit and Bumps" series in SAMI as he can turn an old outdated kit into a little gem without expensive aftermarket goodies. I learned a lot of tricks and techniques from these articles and he allways makes his own decals, amazing! He also used to make decals upon request but I'm not sure this is still possible. There's no harm in asking a question, you never know what comes out! Good luck 🙂

Hallo Christian,
hier könntest Du was für Deinen Waggon finden!

I'll proceed with this now. Baught some 0 gauge stuff to build up the brake system undrf the floor. Found out that I have to change the superstructure before as well as I have to modify the strutted frame to make it look like an OMM Linz. Also found a company that produces 0 gauge waterslides. Baught a HO gauge railcar that I will use as example to find the correct markings.
