2012 will be the 30th aniversary of the Falkland war. This is the motivation for some members of 1.PMCN to build some models relating to this theme. My contribution will be one of the argentine Dassault Super Eetendards that attacked and sunk HMS Sheffield. I will use the Academy and Heller Kit as well as Eduards photo etched parts and decals from Condor Decals for this project. Both kits have advantages and disadvantages. The Academy kit has engraved panel lines, the Heller kit not but the panel lines of the Heller kit seem to be more accurate. The greatest error on the Academy kit is the absence of the guns on the lower fuslage, so I decided to build a model by using the best of both worlds. To do this some surgery work has to be done.
