I believe I may have seen this very aircraft on a number of occasions while on display at various Airshows at Ardmore and possibly in formation over Whenuapai?
Very cool.

I took the following short clips back in December 8th 2009 (excuse the low quality)
Later in the day, my brother and I were able to get a short flight aboard the Catalina you can see taxiing in the beginning of the second clip.

You most certainly would have seen 65 as she used to be owned by the current CEO of the New Zealand Warbirds Association based at Ardmore and was also used as the lead aircraft in the Roaring Fourties display formation. The cover photo of this album shows the aircraft with the Roaring Fourties emblem still on the side. That photo was taken at Omaka on a fuel stop while transiting to Wanaka. That's the new owner in the front seat with myself in the back and we form Team 65.
