Album info
Airfix I/27 Skyhawk built out of the box as a camouflaged VA-113 A-4C flying off the USS Kitty Hawk in 1966. The Navy experimented with camouflaged aircraft for a short time in Vietnam, This scheme is Tan Brown (FS 24102) with white undersides (FS17875) using Vallejo Air Acrylics for both colors, I used the CtA No 03 "Welcome to the Jungle"decal set for the markings. The model was lightly weathered with Flory brown wash. I loaded the aircraft with LAU-10 Zuni rocket pods on the wing pylons and a HIPEG 20 mm gun pod on the centerline using Hasegawa weapons sets.
