The assembly instructions for 20239 are clear. I detailed the kit a little further and painted the surface or covered it with carbon decals. Now I have separated the large parts (A7, A5, A6, D12, D14) from the casting tree. I primed all F1-90 parts in white. According to the color list, the different parts get the assigned color. I partially masked parts like A1 and A2. I added carbon decals to parts D12, D14, D17/D18 and the front wing. According to the assembly instructions, the parts such as A5 or A6 receive the intended decals. I painted the parts covered with the carbon decals, such as the chassis, rear wing, cockpit and the front wings, with clear blue.
Now I returned to the work sequence of the building instructions. Assembly of the rear axle and the great Ferrari engine.
In step 3 of the assembly instructions, you have to glue D9, B7 after painting and the rear wing mount D16/D15 very precisely.
Step 4 requires a lot of attention. The B13/B14 strut mounts easily break off in the B7/B6 snap connection.
Step 6 shows the cockpit assembly. Since I couldn't find any etched parts for the kit, I made the seat belts myself. D6 must be glued very carefully because in step 7 the steering wheels are attached to the push rods Part C4/c6 and C5/C7 can easily break with C20/C23. I glued these parts apart from the bushing connection for the wheels because the wheels didn't hold up with that clip connection. Connect part D1/D2 exactly to the cockpit. Attach side parts A6/A5 to the chassis. Since I didn't have a set of etched parts, I made the oil lines (silver wire) for the D1/D2 oil coolers myself.
In step 9, in which I had already put on the decals on the front wing D13 / A9, I installed parts D13 with A9 very precisely. The side panels D19/D23 and D20/D24, which I painted earlier, were less of a problem- connect the front wing to the chassis very precisely. Carefully insert thrust strut C3 with glue beforehand. I tested many of the previously mentioned parts before final assembly.
In step 10 I put the engine with the rear axles on the chassis. I did not glue D17/D18 to the motor. I separated the last side parts A11/A12 in step 11 into 2 parts because they could not be assembled according to the assembly instructions.
In step 12 I mounted the rear wing, which I previously provided with decals.
In work steps 13-15, the wheels were assembled and the parts assembled on the A7. Part A7 has been painted beforehand and the decals have been applied. I did not glue the part to the chassis.
