I completed this in the early 80's. Not sure of the date. It is a replica of one of the first Pro Street cars I had ever seen. I remember going to the 1988 Street Machine Nationals in DuQuion Illinios. It was the first year that Pro Street Cars debuted. This Beretta along with Matt and Debbie Hay's Pink Thunderbird and the Pontiac J 2000 Debuted. I was so impressed with those three vehicals that I was beside my self. I could not believe the direction of the cars and advancment from Street Machines to Pro Street almost full blown Race Cars on the street. The entire weekend was spent talking to these people. Naturally as soon as the models came out I had to build them. My son was just born and we were camping in the Fairgrounds. The tempiture was in the high 90s. We couldn't sleep in the tent it was to hot and my son was crying so much that we ended up puting him in the car and turning the air conditioning on and we had to drive him around the campground untll he fell asleep.
