A crudely painted pilot, which is nice for Zvezda to include with the kit.
Trying to fill up the holes after shutting the landing doors. Really bad job of Zvezda to leave these huge gaps, considering they included a stand for in flight presentation.
Metal color aliminum for the engine nossle which is wrong I think. Will shoot some burnt metal inside in the next phase.
Some putty needed for wing joins. Used Vallejo water based putty for this.
Soviet pilot in his office.
Test fit for pitot. I will order a Master PE pitot for this.
test fit for stand. This will be good!
Cockpit masking manually with tamiya tape
Instrument panels mounted.
Primed with Vallejo Gloss Black. Getting ready for a NMF with Metal Colors.
Nose and Engine parts painted in Burnt Metal, masked and ready for Aluminum overall.
Unfortunetly forgot to paint the dielectric panels in green.
Masked and first will black prime, than use Vallejo 71.094 Green Zinc Chromate. Looks to be close to this specific green, when painted over black.
