Album info

My interpretation of "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe. Converted from Atlantis's 1:8 scale "The Forgotten Prisoner of Castle Mare". I extended the base with plastic card and added a cask made from a toothpick dispenser found on Amazon. The spigot was scratch built from plastic sprue with a handle made from the broken end of a pop rivet. The "Amontillado" banner is torn from the label on a real bottle of the Spanish sherry. Stalactites are sculpted from copper wire and green putty. The heads of the mushrooms are made from "coins" which are the residue from holes drilled through Kevlar aircraft parts at the company where I work. The wall was made from scratch built foam blocks. Kit supplied plastic chains were replaced with real metal ones, and Fortunato's hat was sculpted from copper wire and green putty with bells made from glass beads. I also brushed clear lacquer over the stalactites and poured a stream of it through the mushrooms to puddle up under the cask, but it doesn't show up well in the photos.
