CHP Hughes 500D

Instrument panel. The decal does not fit well. Too much transparent overhang, for starters. Plus it’s just not the right size or shape. And the print quality is…lacking. 

Another quality cockpit decal. 

Pilot won’t fit unless you separate his hand from his body.

His legs are also too long. Seriously Academy? He’s designed to fit in this exact kit! 

Pilot with (poorly) shortened legs. Copilot (pointing) fits much better. 

Added 2 collective levers and coiled headphone wires for the headphones. 

Another view of the pilot’s collective. The parts that form the overhead bulkhead also needed putty in order to fit together properly. Kit quality is not amazing so far…

 

Overhead view. Pilot’s hand should be on the cyclic (whoops!). The rest looks pretty good though, all things considered. 

Added some wires behind the instrument panel. It wasn’t easy to shape them, but I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out.
