Album info

Another batch of photos from the Museum of Technology in Berlin that I visited recently. This time my favorite of the exhibition: The wreck of a Junkers Ju-87 R-2 Stuka, Werknummer 5856 which flew in the Stukageschwader St.G 5 on the northern front. It crash landed in the Russian tundra on July 2nd, 1942 and was recovered in 1994. The crew (Uffz. Karl Herbst and Uffz. Alfred Nowitsch) was unharmed. I was amazed to see all the "insides" of this amazing aircraft as well as the damage caused by enemy anti-aircraft fire or fighters. Hopefully these photos are helpful for other modellers as well!
