Primed the Hurricane using Halfords Matt Black primer and it looks fine to me though i had to give it a touch up with Valldjo black there were some parts that had been missed. Onto the decallng...
I bridhed on s couple of costs of Vallejo gloss varnish to the parts where the decals go, left them to dry for an hour or so then put the decals on using the lastvof my Micro Sol in the process. One of the upper wing roundels went "funny" (rather wrinkled) so as i have two of these kits and the next one will be the Soviet version, i used one of the roundels from that kit to replace. the wrinkled one. Once i was happy with the roundeks I tidied up, finished off my wee dram then went to bed.
This morning I proceeded to give the kit a couple of coats of Tamiya flat matt varnish beforr heading to work. It all looks good spsrt from some silvering on one of the wibg roundels....

Start of the weathering process. I went over all the panels, giving them various shades of dark grey then a dry brush of mid grey to pick out the ribbing. Doesn't look great and i think i will have to revisit a few of them to make the distinction between the shades less stark before going onto chipping. Thanks for popping by

...the story so far. The kit goes together wonderfully wirh minimal glueing. The detail is, to my untutored eye, excellent; the cockpit and pilots are marvels
