Love those early 60's Chevy's - my uncle had a NZ-assembled 64' (US 63') Impala 4-door 283, blue & white and it was a real thrill to be trusted to drive it solo at just 16!

Nice clean build 👏👏

Thanks for the kind words! Until recently, I didn't even know my dad had an impala. It was gone before I came along. He found this kit and asked me to build it for him.

It's good to see some progress, well done!

Thanks! I don't get nearly as much time at my bench as I would like, but I'm sure that is a common problem for most of us!

You are right, I'm happy, if I could spend 4-6 hours in a week by my desk...

oh, man! I would LOVE that much time at my bench! can you imagine what we could accomplish? I might get more than a few kits built in a year!

Just bide your time, mates, that "post-work" (maybe just "post-busy") stage of life arrives for us all, eventually.

Took until I was 72, but now I can usually find at least 2-3 hours daily, on average. Eventually decided it was time to start building down the stash.

Something positive to look forward to in those "Golden years"

Still looking good! What paint did you use?

Thanks for the kind words! The White is rust-oleum. Other colors are Testors andTamyia.

So, the rust oleum didn't pan out as hoped. I had to pivot and get a few colors from my friend at Scale Finishes. once I did that, things went better for me. I have finally finished this build and it will soon be on its way to my dads home.
