Coming along now. Separated canopy sections, clear coat on.
Straight forward build, great fit, minor gaps at roots.
Tricky part to sand....
Wing gun pods not installed, belly tank not installed, all holes filled.
Basic black primer for natural metal finish. Slight seam forward of windscreen.me...
Varying shades of silvers going on...spray,dry,buff, spray,dry,buff...
ARRRGH! the windscreen has gone missing - gotta make a new one - Going to use an N1K2 canopy from Hasegawa kit as a master - even built a vac form box today to get it going....
Anti glare panel was reportedly OD - I mixed Olive Green and black Green -
'Non-standard' antenna mast was installed by US Forces - I used a slightly blunted sewing needle

Casey BeckettNot easy to find, I actually forgot WHERE I got them - they work very nicely, I have already built the old Fujimi B6N2 shown on the lower left of the sheet, bought a second one to do the green version, and since I am sucker for the "bad guys" wearing the "good guys" markings, I intend on doing the D4Y Judy also. (The AZModel one) - nice looking kit!
Quick search on THAT auction site with 4 letters, there are several sellers with Dying Sun Pt1 available- How about a blue Ki-61 Tony?

Remove and fill underwing gun pods, no belly tank, no DF loop behind seat, non standard aerial behind canopy, open cockpit hood. Master Model 20mm wing guns, vac formed canopy (First ones I've made, a bit rough).
