Ready to paint - had to wait a few weeks for the airbrush to arrive
Airbrushed XF19 as a base coat, then XF59 on top. Black parts airbrushed and brush painted with XF69. Exhaust part painted with Citadel Leadbelcher, then on top a mixture of Citadel Mournfang Brown, Bugman's Glow, and Retributor Armour for a rusty appearance. Pleased with the result.
Clear coated with X22 and then decals applied - back view
Front view. Waiting for weathering oil paints to arrive
Applied my first panel-line wash with thinned down Raw Umber oil paint, then applied a clear flat matte coat with XF-86
Applied the wash over most areas, but tried to make it relatively subtle by wiping most of it away
Rearview, I think this area came out the best, probably because it has the most obvious panel lines
Close up of the back where I think the wash was most obvious, I hope it came out not too subtle or too obvious. Tried to make it look realistic without being overly dirty.
Finished! Painted tool handles with XF-68 and used some oil paint to streak on some wood effects. Applied a sandy dush wash over most of the model, focusing on the running gear and lower hull, and dried off most of the excess. Re-applied a dark wash to some areas to help them stand out again, mostly around the suspension and some deep panel lines. For my second ever model and first time doing a tank, airbrushing, and weathering - I'm very pleased with the results. On to the next one! Photo spam up ahead!

Nice. An appropriate style of finish for this unforgettable kit almost everyone has had at some stage.

Thank you! A few more things to do when the clear coat has fully dried. Still need to paint the tools and small details. Then a few more weathering techniques I want to try
