This kit was originally built as the Ed Roth version shown on the box but because none of the decals would conform to the contours of the kit, it was just a plain Ford pickup.

This kit was one of three that I wasn't happy with the paint after they had been assembled for a while and were disassembled and rebuilt or in the process.

The body was painted Testors flat black spray and the chassis Krylon Fusion semi-gloss black. The bumpers, exterior mirror, chrome grill?, windshield wipers, brake lights and license plate frame were all brush painted Tamiya gloss black.

ENGINE:
The engine is from 440ci from the Revell #85-4202 1968 Dodge Charger. The transmission is the F-100 transmission. I added spark plug wires and vacuum hoses.

SUSPENSION:
I made a front axle from styrene sheet to lower the suspension even though it doesn't look it. The front and rear springs were from the parts box and the rear suspension lowered, also even though it doesn't look it.
