MQ-9 Reaper

Album image #1
Small painting desk in place for a quick job. No modification to the model other than clear position lights, which worked out almost ok.

Album image #2
Primed with Mig One Shot. Some sanding and it'll be ready to take something close to light ghost gray.

Album image #3
Two colours scheme applied. Underside XF-54, topside XF-19 + XF-54 at around 2:1.

Album image #4
Even though I butchered the plastic around them, those still look really cool.

Album image #5
Awaiting dull coat, a wash, and finishing touches.

Album image #6
Minor silvering, I really need to find a reliable decaling process. Still a good looking drone 🙂

To avoid silvering, put the decals on after you gloss the kit. It will get rid of most of your silvering issues.

Yup, I'll do just that next time I end up with a paintcoat this matte.

Album info

Needed a build which didn't require painting until the later stage because I lacked the space to paint. This little plane was fun to assemble, although poorly molded with missing bits and sink marks, some of which can still be seen. The other sprues (the box contains 2 models) look better though.
