Commander's figure is quite nice although a bit fiddly to pose correctly on the cupola. Face is almost complete, slowly painting the rest of him.

After initial weathering. It went a little far, but I had to make do wit it.

Some minor blending & such was made since I took these photos.

Hull and turret. This was my first use of airbrushed Tamiya acrylics and I was simply taken away by their performance. However they disappointed me some years ago wgile brushing...

The tank was ready some time ago, but the commander was somehow a drag...

I wrote it earlier - the mudding and dusting went a little out of control, but overally it looks quite nice.

I only replaced the quite poor kit M2 with a RB metal barrel.

Looks good... I have his predecessor in the works... nice to see some things seem to be shared by these. Nicely built, weathering is maybe a bit heavy... but it still looks nice

Thanks 🙂 It might be right - weathering spun a little out of control... I hopefully finish the commander soon enough and after minor corrections it'll be finished 🙂

Album info

Sadly - I didn't manage to make much photos of my work in progress - but here's what I did make.

The model itself is quite OOB - I added periscopes from clear plastic painted blue. without it it looked quite bare and unfinished andI filled the typical holes in the lower hull, Tamiya's earlier kit trademark so to say.

I also added a coaxial MG barrel in the mantlet, here a simple hole was looking quite bad.

I exchanged the typical Tamiya thread to some metal rope with the kit's original eylets (that fit perfectly).

Furthermore I tensioned the tracks with some trimmed pins - here the photos are not clear as to how much really they sagged. So i decided to make something visible yet (hopefully) not very prominent.

Finally I upgraded the very visible and eye-cathing .50 cal on the commander's cupola. I replaced the barrel and added some sight + grip. The kit one is simply too plain.

All in all - those were minor corrections that was mostly fun to do and by no means tedious. Of course - the kit looks go
