Build #2 Tamiya 14129 scale Ducati Panagale S
Tamiya number 14129 1:12 scale Ducati Panagale S - box art
some quite nice detailing on this bike wheel rim decals were a nightmare though and still require touching up
mean looking from the front, had a few issues with the Tamiya acrylics drying to fast on the front mudguard (was before I discovered Tamiya X20a thinners)
tried my best with the detailing on this but as I don't have an airbrush yet brushmarks are a bit unsightly, lovely detail though
the bike has a very sexy back end, bad lighting though the red looks pink in some of the pictures sorry
right side showing some of the detailing, i have got better with my detail work since I built this model
still needs some tidying up on the detailing
top down view with the airbox
speedo and top yoke detail - could be better but was only my 2nd build since I returned to modelling after a 25+ year break
love the single sided swingarm and the big fat tyre
body panels starting to go on - sorry about the pink hue, bad lighting on my part, it is italian red trust me
top down view with the tank and rear seat cowl, really need better lighting pink again
they only do this bike in flat black and italian red but maybe the girlies would like this pink colour, again bad lighting on my part sorry
starting to look like a bike now, time for the rest of the body panels
nose cowling on still bloody pink though !
thats more like it! italian red like it is supposed to look
I'm beginning to wonder if this paint is pearlescent
just some more detail shots I loved this bike and build
just some more detail shots I loved this bike and build
even has a gear decal on the gearbox lurvly
close up of the rear suspension
left hand front fairing going on
left side done
really starting to look sweet now
one last peek at right side detail before the right fairing goes on
and it's on
just final decals to go on but otherwise finished
