Are you planning to build it soon? Because I've this kit also here and I'm kind of curious how the kit will be!

The kit is great. I finished the structural build on mine, just waiting for primer. The kit comes with a nice engine. Fit of the cowl section is to precise that it just sits in place and can be made detachable.
Few areas that need attention:
The fit around the lower side wing root, both forward and rear, needs some careful dry-fitting and carving out of excess material. If you do that properly, no filler will be needed.
Also, I remember the control column push-rod is a tad too long towards the rear pressure bulkhead. Other than that, no fit issues.
The cockpit is neicely detailed, but the opening is so small it becomes a dark hole swallowing all detail unless you lighten up to cockpit color by 10-20%.

I plan to build it. Thanks for the advice on fitting. I wish it came with a pilot figure (unless it does and I failed to notice), as I prefer to build my aircraft as if in flight. I hope to start on it this week, and I will post photos if and when I do.

I started work on this kit and created a project here with which to track it. I'm not sure if this link will work for others, but here it is:
