I have put this build on hold. I'm not happy with the finish with the paint (AK 3G) No matter what ratio, no matter what pressure or due to myself. So waiting on the new AK Real Colours to drop in the stores. Tamiya and Mr Hobby Aqueous good paint's but for me not the right colours except for a few.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/9/5/9/1722959-110025-91-720.jpg)
AK 3G Constant speckling, tip dry and I have experimented with every ratio of paint to thinner, air pressure max to min, internet advice to no avail.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/9/6/0/1722960-110025-33-720.jpg)
Hampering any detail work, speckling, spluttering etc. Running it with a 0.3 needle I have run it through a 0.2 for detail work before and that's a whole different nightmare. 0.4/5 could be an answer, for 1.48 and larger scales they may not be ideal. maybe 1.72 as the time spraying will be shorter. But I am done with pure acrylic's.

Tamiya X-27.

By contrast a 23ml bottle of Tamiya X-27 bought from Romer Parrish over thirty years ago, sprays lovely.

Attired in their respective RLM02. Excited to get AK Real Colours and the way they sprayed I got over exuberant with the RLM65 on the 190. Therefore did not remove the masking to make a unified colour and then return to the wings. But like a Numpty' or a Boilermaker (Depending where you work) went ahead regardless with the RLM02 on the wings and free handing the camo'. Now, will I strip it back? sand it back? And repaint it? Or abandon it and carrying on with 109? Undecided at the moment. The weekend and BEER is coming up so i'll probably decide when i'm half cut.

I'm definitely becoming a Fanboy of AK Real Colours. Sprays lovely right down to .9 Psi on a .2 needle on my Fengda.

Splinter camouflage applied. Think I will re-paint the RLM65

Picked up the Bf 109 to inspect it, it slipped out of my hands. Thus breaking the aerial, pitot tube, tailplane braces and whatever those teardrop dangly bits are.

Repairs, varnishes and weathering to be done later. I'm off to Mallorca for two weeks of hopefully, Sun, Sun and Sun, definitely some crisp Spanish and German pilsners maybe a Kolsch if I can find one and an I.P.A.

Cheers mate. Ah, the usual John. Eduardargh frustrating, over complicated, instructions random at.best (I'm reasonably intelligent, but Cheez) i.e. interior parts that need fitting roundabout cockpit build, four pages towards the back. It was a good looking 109 F too that's one of the frustrating things. And then there's me if it gets to the point were it's not going right then it gets binned. To date I've only completed one Eduardargh kit, the Fw190 A8/R2 and that was a bugga'

Ah, the classic Eduard fiddly bits. They do seem to have more of those than other kit brands (has anyone ever actually finished a "weekend edition" in a weekend?). No doubt they look good but dealing with it all can rapidly deplete the precious mojo if you're not in the mood. Tamiya-gawa seems to be the sweet spot of decent fit, acceptable detail and looks "good enuf" when finished. I like to detail as much as the next plastic fanatic but sometimes it's nice to reset by bashing one together and getting to the good part, painting!

Agree John. Exasperation seems to kick in, that Fw 190 was a weekend build that went on far too long. I find with any kit, detailing in the cockpit seems to get lost on close up. I tend now to dry fit see what can be seen and work from there. Mind you I've had fit issues (minimal though) with Tamiya and Hasegawa due to the age of the kit, but overcome in less time it takes to apply photo etch. The frustrating thing with Eddie is the kits look good it is the depletion of enthusiasm as you build it and they do look good on completion. Enuff' misery. Happy Modelling my Mate.

Nothing more frustrating than airbrush hassles due to paint.
Tamiya/MrHobby is great but the color range issue, yeah.
Check these mixes out though, they're pretty close.

Cheers Aman. I wouldn't if I were you. The chances are, it maybe inaccurate, things break off, you shout at the cat, dog, wife, wall, kit, daughter, yer mate, yer mates cat, anyone/thing within earshot through frustration and ineptitude. Finally collapsing to the floor crying "I could of been a Verlinden, if only I'd started at three years old" π€π₯Έππ€£π€π€£π
