SLT 50-3 ‘Elefant‘ & Leopard 2A4 Photos
The inside was painted before assembly, and the details on the outside, like the lights on top and the camouflage pattern will be painted after all the newly added parts get their coat of simple green.
The wheels are waiting for their paint to dry in the background.
Still in 3 independent parts, waiting to be primed. It also still needs its tracks before I can glue the lower parts together.
The Tracks were painted in rusty brown and then dry-brushed with iron for wear-related highlights.
The first attempt at painting the camo pattern. I like the result, but the pattern is finer and thinner than the real BW Pattern. So I will paint it thicker.
The overhauled camo pattern and small details are painted.
Revell was lazy with the cable drums. I added cables using metal-painted twine.
I´m quite happy with how the tracks turned out. They came in 2 large pieces, 2 short pieces and about 12 individual links per side.
They turned out to be a little shorter than they needed to be for me. I would have liked one more link per side. Had to improvise by cutting a few number signs from the spruces to create replacement links.

The Tools on the back are painted now. They were part of the hull and not separate pieces. I´m going to add decals and weathering soon, so the exhausts won´t stay this light a shade of green.
The state of the kit after everything (except the towing cable for the tank) has been glued and painted. Next up are the decals and then some first attempts at weathering...

I wanna build that one too - but with another load and with some PE. Anxious how fare.
