J-20 in progress

1st and 2nd step done, tried to dry fit landing gear legs to the wheel bay and the fit is better than my last Trumpeter kit
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/6/1/4/1641614-137707-58-720.jpg)
All the weapon bays fitted well enough
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/6/1/5/1641615-137707-87-720.jpg)
I choose to close the door of the mean weapon bay since it's a stealth fighter.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/6/1/6/1641616-137707-60-720.jpg)
The kit is obviously designed to be made in an open door status, so I have to remove some molded details that would get in the way.

The front gear bay, the good old trumpeter style of front landing gear assemble procedure
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/0/9/1642109-137707-87-720.jpg)
The cockpit is ok, not going to heavily modify it.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/1/0/1642110-137707-82-720.jpg)
JUST REPLACE THEM WITH 3D PRINTED ONES
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/2/3/6/1643236-137707-60-720.jpg)
Painted landing gears with a cold white from gunze, and the lights with this interesting marker pen
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/2/3/8/1643238-137707-41-720.jpg)
Gunze C307 for the cockpit, gunze gloss black for the ejection seat and the front panel (it needed to be glossy because I need to apply decals to it ), the safe belt and knobs were painted using acrylic paints
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/2/3/9/1643239-137707-56-720.jpg)
The fit is fine, or what you would expect from a Trumpeter kit. It needed sanding and filling, but not very much.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/2/3/7/1643237-137707-34-720.jpg)
The two slots for the vertical tail installation were identical, so it's possible to switch the left and the right tail to make a somewhat familiar aircraft look exotic.

The final look of the model after filling and sanding.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/2/0/8/1644208-137707-79-720.jpg)
Finished the lower fuselage, the weapon bay doors fit not very smoothly, but since it's the lower side of the model, I'll just let it be.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/2/0/9/1644209-137707-63-720.jpg)
All assembly is done, I'll soon start painting this model !
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/2/0/7/1644207-137707-69-720.jpg)
Never thought that an old tripod could be used as a grip for a scale model.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/2/7/7/1646277-137707-88-720.jpg)
First color done!
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/7/6/1649676-137707-65-720.jpg)
The camouflage pattern I've chosen will take a lot of time to mask the model, I hope the final look will be fine.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/6/7/5/1649675-137707-60-720.jpg)
The outer color is done.
