Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package
With the kit you have the opportunity to build a superlative hybrid sports car. In 2.6 seconds to 100km/h with a system output of 887 hp and a torque of 1280Nm. When unpacking the casting branches from A – K, you can see solid Revell casting technology. I didn't notice any errors with the Clearast K in particular.
As a first construction step, I coated all parts with the Tamiya primer gray. Then I assembled the engine, which I then painted. I also painted the chassis with Tamiya x-18. Painted engine glued to the chassis according to construction instructions No.8. With the construction steps from 9-27 I completed the chassis. The tires were on all four points. I made the 2 seats according to building instructions no. 28, which I gave a special feature. I modeled the seat belts using a narrow gift ribbon. I made the interior as described in the building instructions up to step 37. I partially brushed the color or applied it with a brush. The decals were quite easy to transfer according to the Revell instructions. In step 38 in the building instructions I glued part D79 to the body. This part warped the window frame a bit. Before I continued with step 39, I painted the body I75 along with the attachments G90, G89, G82, G81, E88 as well as D112 and D114 with Tamiya TS-42 Gun Metal. Contrary to step 59, I have already glued G118 and G119 in place. Then I put the decals on the body according to step 62. With Decal 56 and 57 you have to be careful with the positioning. Additionally, decals 56 and 57 tend to tear easily. Assembly of parts G82. I painted the body panels with Tamiya TS-80 clear matt. Now I continued building the vehicle with step 39 in the building instructions. In step 41 you have to position decal 12 carefully. Unfortunately, this decal does not fit very precisely on the clear part K107. Lamp assembly according to steps 43 and 48. I gave the lamps a drop of fluorescent paint so that they light up in black light. In step 57, part G120 does not fit completely onto the body. The marriage of chassis and body (steps 47 and 50-54) went without any problems. I finished assembling the Porsche 918 Spyder with the side mirrors and windshield wipers
