Pretty simple kit, because it is basically a copy of the early Hasegawa release.

To dress up the cockpit, I swiped a cockpit out of a Hasegawa F-16A kit. I will be modifying the seat to make it look more like an ECAPPAC seat that the prototypes flew with. I have a True Details ESCAPAC bang seat but can't find it now.

With some judicious trimming and sanding, I managed to get the intake trunk to where there were not Grand Canyon sized gaps.

As much as I wanted to, the newer mold Hasegawa cockpit would not go into the Academy kit without MAJOR surgery! Couldn't even put the Hasegawa pilot in there - the seat was too small. Hopefully, between the closed cockpit & pilot the bare tub will not be too noticeable!

Had to remove quite a bit of plastic from the forward part of the intake. Apparently, it was a 'Big Mouth' while the rest of the intake was a 'Small Mouth'!! LOL Still have to tweak it a bit but it's on there good.
