What an interesting project and a super neat result. I never thought that the Spitfire would look so cool with this German paintjob. I really like the subtle and reatrained weathering, very nice indeed!

Album info

This spit is part of mine personal "Spitfire saga" which started in mid of 2020 by building of two spits Mk Vb Trop & Mk IX from Italeri as charity "baking for good think". This saga contains 16 personal spits & 3 for charity auction at the end.

At first, I decided to build something for myself - this Mk Vb DB605 and than, to consume whole my Spitfire "stock" I had. How the project & time run, I collected, more or less, all versions I wanted to build (till now) and started to build them together. Next "baking" (2021) was covered by HF Mk VIII from Eduard.

This Brengun / AZ model spit is build just out of box without detailing or improvements except canopy made by Falcon. To be honest, (my experience only) AZ model / KP canopies are not, simply said, sufficient - to thick with strange shape. Better to replace.
